What is Bright Side Up?
Bright Side Up is an Independent Living Housing Program that provides safe, structured, and supportive housing for adults who are capable of living independently. We encourage, empower, and equip residents by connecting them with community resources and referrals that support long-term success.
Who is eligible to apply?
Our housing program welcomes:
- Retired Veterans
- Hospital Discharge Referrals
- Mental Health Referrals
- Domestic Violence Survivor Clients
- Re-Entering Adults
- Adults Aging Out of Foster Care
- Independent Seniors

Is Bright Side Up an assisted living facility?
No. Bright Side Up is an Independent Living Housing Program. Residents are expected to live independently while benefiting from a safe, structured environment and access to community resources.
Do you provide meals?
No. Residents are responsible for purchasing and preparing their own meals using the shared kitchen facilities.
Do you provide transportation?
No. Residents are responsible for arranging their own transportation for work, appointments, shopping, and personal activities.
Are the rooms furnished?
Yes. All rooms are fully furnished, allowing residents to move in comfortably without the need to provide basic furniture.
Is there a waiting list?
If housing is unavailable at the time of your application, qualified applicants may be offered the opportunity to join our waiting list. We’ll contact you as soon as housing becomes available.
